STUDIO

Founded in 2025, MWA+D is a RIBA chartered architectural practice based in Epsom, Surrey.

MWA+D, founded by Maxwell Ward, an ARB registered architect since 2005 and RIBA member since 2018, is a design led practice committed to delivering creative, bespoke solutions that engage critically and sensitively with each brief.

Our work is grounded in a rigorous and exploratory design process that seeks to unlock the latent potential of each site and/or existing property.

We see each project as an opportunity to create spaces that are thoughtful, functional, and responsive to our clients' needs. Our design process is collaborative and inquisitive, grounded in the belief that well-considered design, when done with care, can turn the ordinary into something extraordinary. Whether it’s a private home, a commercial environment, or a public space, we bring a nuanced understanding of context, form, and materiality to everything we do.

While grounded in a strong architectural ethos, MWA+D is also focused on project delivery. We are committed to achieving successful and high-quality outcomes across all of our work.

Complementing Maxwell’s architectural expertise, Kasia brings a distinctive, client-focused perspective to our studio. Her insight is shaped by her first-hand experience of design, built, and project-management of her own new-build home, as well as advising others on multiple full refurbishments. Kasia’s deep passion for art, architecture, and design, combined with her intuitive grasp of client needs, enables her to guide projects with empathy and clarity. Her attention to detail and design sensibility informs both the architectural and interior aspects of MWA+D’s work.

MWA+D was established to bring together Maxwell and Kasia’s shared commitment to thoughtful, high-quality, and client-centred architecture.
